School Matters

The client, Duval County Public Schools, had a television talk show that needed rejuvenation. I changed the host of the show, the set, the number of show topics and guests, the show graphics and added camera movement to the show.

I hosted auditions to find a new host that would bring a young, fresh new feel to the show. There was no money for a new set so I rounded up some unused projectors owned by the school district and the broadcaster, WJCT, provided the rear projection screens. I created animations for the screens based on each show topic as well as two screens with the show logo animation. I also changed the table to a high top table so all the guests would stand instead of sit. I also increased the topics from three to four to help the show move along faster. I also changed the number of guests per topic from two to three which also helped the show have more variety and move faster.
